A Blog's Life

Welcome! If you're here, you may know me, at least a little. You probably found yourself on this page after I posted on Instagram and Facebook about our year in Viêt Nam. Or, if we didn't meet in person, you've discovered this site through my public Instagram account @abroadlife.asia Either way, I am so glad you're here!

Some quick background: My partner Laurel took a new job in admissions and advancement for an international school in Bien Hoa. I was lucky enough to secure an online teaching job based out of Hanoi. We landed on August 1st, and everyday since then has been something new! Speaking of new things...

This is my first time creating a website and my first time attempt at blogging. I don't know what I am doing, but that's the fun of it, right? You'll see me learn this media in real time. I hope to make it a fun and engaging place to learn about our life and travels here. Some posts will be quite short, others (like Bánh Mì, Banh Moe), which I wrote as part of a food and travel writing course, will be longer.

I plan to post about our adventures, mishaps, meals and more. For now, here's a fun lil shot of us from Legal Seafood in Boston's Logan Airport about 30 mins before we boarded our flight back on 7/30.
